A machine described as revolutionary has been used to process demolition material in the clearing of a Timaru site being redeveloped to make way for three drive-through businesses.
Cam Moir, a project manager for Timaru-based Paul Smith Earthmoving, said using the Pronar recycling shredder at the intersection of Grants Rd and Evans St/State Highway 1, had reduced demolition waste by more than 70%.
Moir said the machine made the demolition process a lot greener.
